About Us
Who We Are (the Royal We)
We are scientists and entrepreneurs, we've started and managed a dozen businesses, we've helped raise $60M for non-profits and startups since 2004. We've sat on and chaired the boards of several NPOs and have chaired the fundraising committees of others. Ask, and I'll be happy to send a recent CV.
Our soft spots are for the environment, the developmentally disabled, military veterans, the elderly, animals, children, the homeless, spiritual communities, the arts, and those with mental disorders. We think, speak and write life sciences with some fluency; SBIRs and R01s to NSF and less than half of the institutes within NIH, DOD, and DOE are our forte.
We thrive on challenges and gravitate towards those projects and businesses that take big risks to benefit the world and humanity.

We help your startup and non-profit business rise to the place where private foundations, individuals, and federal, state, and local granting agencies will be comfortable investing in your cause.
We then search across the world of potential non-dilutive funding sources and carefully select those whose purpose and your mission are in alignment.
We write and submit proposals on your behalf.

We work on a monthly retainer and contingency fee basis to keep your out-of-pocket costs to a minimum. Yes, we're that confident.
The time it takes depends on what you've accomplished so far. There are many processes that must be in place in order to be competitive in raising funds. But typically, it's not overnight. After a discussion, I'll give you a good estimate.
